About
Xiao Fu (Sara) @fuxiao_1999 is a Chinese filmmaker, she was born in Anhui Province. The bamboo forest where Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was filmed.
With a profound passion for film lighting, Sara has accumulated a wealth of experience, having contributed her expertise to over 40 short films in various roles such as gaffer, best boy and spark. Her enthusiasm for her craft is infectious, consistently fostering a positive atmosphere on set. Committed to continuous growth and learning, Sara consistently seeks out opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills in her role in Lighting Department.

- Collaborate with the DoP and the Director to establish the desired lighting style.
- Location scouting, and make informed decisions regarding lighting equipment within budget constraints.
- Visualising the lighting plan. (Proficiency in using Shot Designer and Aputure Diagram Master to draw lighting plans)
- Test specific lighting effects before shooting.
- Oversee all lighting gear, and manage a 2-6 people lighting team.
- Think quickly on set, adapt lighting styles to meet diverse customer needs.

- Proficient in operating industry-level lights, including Arri Daylight and Tungsten, various ballasts, Arri LED lights, Aputure lights and wireless programming, Godox and Nanlite lights, Astera and programming, Source 4, Dedo, Lightbridge, Kino Flo, Aladdin, etc. Additionally, adept at quickly determining the appropriate use of different stands, accessories and rigging tools.
